SMM News on February 11: The mainstream transaction price of 0# zinc in the Ningbo market was around 23,675-23,895 yuan/mt. Conventional brands in Ningbo quoted a premium of 70 yuan/mt against the 2503 contract and a premium of 40 yuan/mt against Shanghai spot. Mainstream quotations in Ningbo were based on the 2503 contract. During the first time period, Qilin quoted a premium of 70-80 yuan/mt against the 2503 contract, Honglu-v quoted a premium of 70 yuan/mt against the 2503 contract, and Huize quoted a premium of 120 yuan/mt against the 2503 contract. During the second time period, traders' quotations remained flat compared to the previous period. Most zinc alloy plants in Ningbo will resume operations after the Lantern Festival. Recently, spot zinc transactions in Ningbo have remained sluggish, but some traders showed a strong sentiment to stand firm on quotes. Today, spot premiums in Ningbo were basically flat compared to yesterday, and the trading atmosphere remained sluggish.

Overall, China’s die-casting zinc alloy trade from January to February showed a pattern of slightly higher exports and a significant pullback in imports.
